Rebels in the Maghreb… who they are?

The State and its enlightened commentators were first selling us that it was about:

• a little obstacle in the smooth running of business, to get round as soon as possible;

• an expression of brutality peculiar to countries not well civilized;

• hooligans, terrorists who attack the institutions, private property, police, and who have to be repressed by their governments, with our help.

After a Head of State was forced to run away, they were selling us that it was about:

• the people rising up against an awful dictator, who was still the ally one hour ago;

• a “jasmine revolution” for democratic rights and liberties;

• angry voters who didn’t find the polling station;

• people it would be necessary to unionize very quickly.

Finally, if the setting up of a provisional government didn’t make them going back home, it could now be about militias formed of partisans of the old dictator against which the army of course devotes itself to protecting the population.

For us, proletarians,
They are the ghost haunting all the managers and defenders of Capital.

For us, proletarians,
It’s about our class brothers and sisters who struggle since months and years, in the Maghreb, in the world, against exploitation, against the State…

For us, proletarians,
The revolution will be the extension and generalization of the radical demands to satisfy our needs, outside and against parties and unions.
